The Meeting of the Waters is a phenomenon that happens in the Amazon after the confluence of the Amazon River, muddy water, with the Solimões River, black water. During a six kilometers stretch (which reaches 22km at certain times), the two rivers stand side by side without mixing their waters, due to the different densities and speeds. It is a very interesting scenario to watch, take pictures and tell the story.
Departure from Tropical Manaus Hotel pier where we will go down the Rio Negro on the left bank, catching sight of the floating port of Manaus, regional vessels and the Municipal Market following to the Meeting of the Waters (Negro and Solimões River) stopping for observation of this mystic and natural phenomena. Then, we will go towards the Janauary Ecological Park. where we will ride a canoe on the river (depending on the river level, in the dry season between September and February, it is not possible and it will be replaced by a walk in the jungle) and visit the famous water lilies plant Victoria Regia on Lake Janauary. Lunch at the floating restaurant and visit of the local craft stores. Return to the boat. We navigate along the the Rio Negro river to reach the pier of Tropical Manaus Hotel with a scheduled arrival at 17:00 (depending on the type of vessel). Drinks not included.
