3 days in North Pantanal at the Pousada Piuval

The Pantanal is an ecosystem with 250 thousand square kilometers of extension, as estimated by scholars, which explains it can hardly be established with an exact calculation of its dimensions, because at various points, it’s very difficult to establish where the Pantanal begins and ends, also the many regions that surround it and at each end of drought and water stations cycle, the Pantanal changes once more.

North Pantanal is situated in the south of Mato Grosso and northwest of Mato Grosso do Sul, both states of Brazil. It also encompasses northern Paraguay and eastern Bolivia (which is called the Bolivian Chaco). A UNESCO World Natural Heritage and Biosphere Reserve. Some prefer to call it Pantanal lowlands or Pantanal Complex, because the region has more than one Pantanal within it. Despite the name, there are a small number of wetlands in the Pantanal region.

This package will make you discover its large Fauna and Flora. The Pantanal is a bird paradise and caimans and Jaguar refuge.

THE PACKAGE

This is the minimum number of nights to really discover what the region has to offer to us. The Pousada Piuval is ideally located at the beginning of the Transpantaneira road which facilitate the access. The activities included in this package will provide you the chance to see a large variety of animals from birds to Jaguar.

Transfer Policy:

Transfers from and to Cuiabá airport are included in regular basis with the following departure times:

• Cuiabá (airport or hotel) to lodge, departure scheduled at 12h30 or 17h30
• Lodge to Cuiabá (airport or hotel), departure scheduled at 07h30 or 14h30

Transport duration: About 2 hours for 120kms
